Hearing is far more complicated than sounds traveling into your ears. It involves sound vibrations that are received by the outer ear. Once received, these vibrations move through the ear canal to the eardrum, ultimately making their way to the middle and inner ear. Inside the inner ear, tiny hair cells (nerves) are stimulated to send electrical impulses to the brain. But when these small hair cells are damaged from loud noises (i.e., rock concerts, music turned up too loud, construction work equipment in use), hearing loss occurs. While hearing loss is not easy, it's not a helpless condition. At Foster Hearing Center, our team of audiologists works to help restore your hearing through advanced hearing aid technology. Sounds Embrace You
At Foster Hearing Center, our team of audiologists works to make sure you do not miss any of them! We foster hearing for individuals who find themselves unable to listen to a TV that's turned up all the way, miss important information in conversations, have inappropriate verbal responses to questions, or hear a constant ring in their ears (tinnitus). If left unaided, one might feel fatigued or inattentive, experience social withdrawal, feel lonely, or on the flip side, feel the need to dominate a conversation. For these estimated 20 million US individuals, there is plenty of hope. This age brings us plenty of hearing aid types, which amplify sound so individuals with mild and severe hearing loss can partake in the hearing world.
Our audiology practice is family owned and operated, well established in the Cincinnati, OH, community, service-oriented, business-focused, and educates its patients in premier care.
